"Panthera tigris can't Sleep" interpritation analysis

Interpretation of analysis Essay

There are 12 steps to critically Analyze prior to preforming any interpretation these steps. these steps include A. the relationship, B. Conflict, C. The Moment before, D. Humor, E. Opposites, F. Discoveries, G. Importance, H. Communication, I. Find the Events, J. Place, K. Roles, And L. The Mystery. and with analyzing with there are 12 steps you will be able to understand the complexes of the story and be able to focus on you personal interpretation of the work.

A] What are relationships i believe that the relationship in a story is the way that the character within the world of the story interact with each other and how they would be perceived. this can fall into category that are direct like parent child, or things like person and a object or idea it more or less the the way, when, where , and how characters would interact with something else; whether its a parent a lamp or even a personification of their inner insanity.  in the story Tiger cant Sleep i see a relationship between a mental patient and his imaginary tiger that no one else can see hear or acknowledge. this character will be completely imaginary but extremely real to the story teller, protagonist, narrator, main character.

B] Conflict this doesn't need much explanation it is the issue the problem the part that make thing interesting, what is in the way of "normality". The conflict in this story is the severity of imagination causing his incarceration in a mental institution do to his "Tiger" in his what ever i feel it should be his "room","Closet" or even in his Pocket. (I really want the "tiger" to be in his pocket.)  and how it has persistently has disturbed his life enough for him to be considered insane.  and what he is fighting for is peace and quit when he sleeps and not to be interrupted with various disturbances.

C] The moment before, well this one is fun, 'Vincent" Caedis Tigris" Laeddis'-Protagonist , has begun telling his life story to a  journalist who is not sure if he is simply messing with them or if he is dead serious  about his inner vision of the tiger, where we come into the story it is fairly early into the story, back in his early child hood back when the imaginary tiger first emerges approx  25-30 years prior, as we can all assume things obviously increase in severity and violence when as he get older the tiger tells him to do thing horrible thing, which lead into his current situation. because we all know tigers are deadly creature and lead to him doing deadly thing under the tigers influence. That is what is basically happening.

D] Humor. i feel that the humor in the story is the fact that there is a tiger in his head, what humor that will be added due to my planed interpretation is the exaggeration of his explanation of his life story which will add some HaHa Humor to a unfortunate  life story.

E] Opposites. motivation is that he finally gets to tell his story on why he did what he did and have someone actually listen to him like he was more than a loon. He try to start off calm and normal, but rapidly gets over run with anger for this tiger, as he remembers how it ruined his life. and near the end he calms back down and starts laughing at his past  as he continues his story. so the opposites is normality mellowness anger loud extreme descriptions and back to calm then force happiness/laughter.

F] Discovery, this is the first time he is going to tell his story in entirety and the first time someone is listening to him. and that's what make this different because none has ever took time to listen for the explanation of his past action and now some one is and they're the first to do such.

G] Importance. he is telling his life so even he is going to take out the humdrumness and give the best parts that are significant, like the movie Forrest Gump, the whole movie is on that bus bench, but he tells his story right there with only the Highlights in his eye, and that is virtually what Vincent Is doing.

H] project myself into the life of Vincent Laeddis, and become him and you tone facial expression and force the emotion and make the audience feel what i want them to. to just forget that there the student for them to feel like the Journalist hearing it for the first time. for them to believe in Vincent as he is a man tortured by his excessive imagination. expressing him self heart to heart with another human being.

I] Find the events, how can i convey this event without props, scenery, or wardrobes? by living it through voice, expression, and the magic of imagination.

J] Place the walls made of white painted bricks paint peeling and yellow from cigarettes 2 chairs and  a bolted down one of Vincent's arms chained to the chair Styrofoam cups of water water cooler in the corner stand with a verity of fruits and snacks, double sided mirror, 2 cameras on the the south east corner facing the door and one on the east north locked onto Vincent; and some really oddly placed painting of a flower pot on the back wall behind Vincent. non of this can known to audience but this is the world I'm placing Vincent into.

K] Roles. what Are Vincent Characteristics? abnormal, unique, vividly expressive, deep in thought. Autistic Gestures Mild to sever muscle spasm along the cranial and spinal area, this may account to lifted shoulder or other spastastic motion along those lines. vocal element voice should be variable to portray contrast with his inner emotion but remain relatively the same voice with just movement  not accent, sarcastic tones. he is the only character being represented in this scene.

L] Mystery, I want to know the Rest of his story of the past 25-30 years that lead up to this moment and what is going to continue to happen with him and the journalist.

analysis of Scott Woods's Six in the morning

Six in the morning. I don't think i'll have a neutral  view about this story. it describes the action of a man who's made mistakes returning to his home. what Scott Woods did was combine his voice within the story, he made the description seem real even though it was just a persona. the way he pronounced his word with care for the character he is portraying. using slang that is appropriate for his urban character and how it stays in that character view point, even when other characters are talking because it is the character explaining what the other characters are saying.

this poem was about who i assume a man mid twenties to early thirties. and hm seeing his grandma, even though he thinks every one in his family has shunned him because of his criminal past. the appropriateness of voice i could not tell if it was his own voice or a character voice he had created. this is a smoothness that i want to achieve in my preformed so that when i preform it feels as if i'm an telling a story of my life.

the character show an in deph look into the fictional characters life with the supporting speeches that lead up to the climax of the poem. that is something i found different than the other page meets stage i can interpret the rise ad fall of the action. it one of them that have a story that follow this curve. and use of the atomispshere and tone of voice that shows the hard exterior of his persona and the soft emotion that this person in feeling and how hard he's trying to be strong

he uses focus point thought the audience and doesn't say cemented in one position and let it smoothly flow though the story. the way he describes this just draws interest into the story unlike some of the other Page meet stage that lack emotion and were just spoken plain not tearing away at the listeners Psyche.
his tone was low and hushed in pitch but he didn't allow louder portion of the interaction to make him loss that hushed claiming effect even when the mood was anger because it meant to make the Lister pity him and the tone keep that aspect at a constant. when he speaks with his grandmother he doesn't change his voice to imitate her, i think this is 1 of 2 reason 1 he does not have a convincing grand ma voice or 2 he understands that the best way he can preform this piece is to maintain that one character and go though his thoughts of him realizing what it is his grandmother is telling him.

it keep its poetic aspec to it it may not of rhymed but it mantain a pattern with one word that appeared more than most "Smooth" and that describes the feel of this poem.and the phrases like ''cancers bullets....a hand made out of old newspaper...nurses lies for eyes...her pillow is the heaviest thing i ever held in my hands...and i keep that key in my pocket in case i ever come home."    this was the only story i written about for this assignment that brought out emotions in me that why i know I'm best in the way i mention it not only because it topic that i find relate able but because it is a style much like my own that I've been using since 7th grade for dramatic monologues

Analysis of Sarah Kay, Postcards

She had a raw performance that didn't focus on character voices exaggerated expression autistic gestures or any thing else she just went and completed an excellent interpretation of Post cards even though it was done in away that is somewhat traditional with the piece she developed her shown emotion and single character express so well that it made the storey come to life i could feel how she feel to receive  post cad how each one is treasured and how she ever so longs to respond to the sender but she doesn't know anything more than the words on a page. how even though all thee words nothing will happen nothing will change it will just  feel. it will feel like a Punch to the heart the climb of a coaster .

how even though it is unclear what was written you are able to experience in some way the feelings she in portraying to use and how she shows as if it was her and fall so deeply into her character. and how her movements aren't block or even noticeable but seem so natural i didn't even know she had hand movement in this clip.

what i learned from here is the example of KISS Keep it simple stupid. and not to go overboard with enthusiasm like many Donna Washington's films and that realistic motion is a key way of integrating most stories. and to focus on the story more than the supporting fluency of motion.

story telling analysis, Dynamic duo

The Dynamic Duo.......
they dynamic duo is a slam poetry duet. that have apparent extensive back ground in super Mario brothers 1. what they did with the stage was very unique on how they over came a slow start and built up momentum for there later poems which captivated the audience. their awareness of presence in most of their later poetry. that the lacked in the beginning poem where it was just an awkward turtle of an ice breaker. by this statement i mean that they lacked the power to truly bring in the audience or the viewer into the realm of Super Mario Bros.

they had a keen use of projection for the entire auditorium when they went on and off of the stage and had to let their voices carry. you could easily Tell the years of practice that has went into the act and the pinpoint accuracy or there tangent speech. you could hear the distinction between their projection and when they used the microphones.

one thing that it felt like it lack was in depth characters to poetry there past story's that built up a barrier. on believing it happened or if they were just performing an act instead of living the act. i  sadly did not enjoy the event as much as i would have wanted. it seemed as if i forced my self into laughing at some of there more humorous works that tome fell upon deaf ears since most of the relevance did not relate to general experiences nor told a message.the first poem was out of all the worst it was lacking the presence that was built up into the following acts. which showed improvement when there was a message behind what they were saying

so it was to me a situation where they went and performed the same routine and it to at least me lacked in its purpose of entertaining do to it's distant connections to ancient information and jokes, and the verbalized threat toward a mythical unicorn was one way in which it seemed to distance the stories from the audience's view. and a focus point on super Mario bros 1 a game that arrive almost 30 years ago and hold s less and less relevance to today's society, and it showed how much audience is related to your interpretation. and for interaction you have to work with what you are or aren't given.

Thing that i learned to focus on are maintain appropriate volume try to bring the viewer into the world of the story as fast as i can and keep them there. stay relaxed when things don't feel right or if i make an error.thing i will focus on not doing that i saw are leaving character because audience's reaction, and don't tell people things that aren't interesting in the slightest  and keep things either contemporary ,classical or universally relevant stories

Strory telling /Spoken word analysis of Red Red Lipstt

Storytelling by Donna Washington
Red Red Lips
the story Red Red Lips performed by Donna Washington, it shows the story of a Young boy and him over coming his fear of the dark but each time his mother turns off the light the a person with green green skin black black hair and red red lips and long red finger nails. but the moral is that nothing is in this bedroom that you should be afraid of more than your imagination. what Donna Washington did was a great interpretation by having different characters in the story the small boy quivering and afraid the mother her own voice and a narrator and the lady outside the window who would emphasize the long Red Fingernails. which went even deeper into the characters voice and actions. she stated with enthusiasm through each segment of the story and kept the constant quality of suspense even though by the third time we knew what the lady at the window was going to say but she still sold us the Candace and bought us into the story of the Little boy's fear. she maintained the same crackle crackle crackle noise and when though the "Witch's part with a distinguished repetition which was obviously happening through out the story. the reason why i picked this story over the rest is because it showed a complete story fro beginning to end unlike he fragments i got with the brier rabbit and the mussa mussa fruit or peter piper picked a pack of purple pickled peppers. which  seem to common or incomplete with its context.
